Laptop Ram Slot Not Working

Not working separate in second one, and not working together with the first slot. I again changed the ram and put it in another slot.

Laptop ram slot not working. It took me a long while to figure out because it seems like i also got a faulty set where only 2 pieces work. So i checked both ram cards, and switched their places, confirmed both are working, and confirmed that 1 of the 2 slots ain't working no more. Some things to remember when installing laptop ram:

In fact, if any piece of ram is placed into slot 2, the computer is unable to establish a connection with the monitor. May be old ram can't be support with new ram for work. Setting the rampage tweak mode 1 in the dram timing control did not help.

Hi guys, i bought asus r558uq last day (4gb ddr4 2133mhz) which supports upto 12gb ram. After that the hdd indicator started blinking, and the other two indicators turned on. I tried to install 8gb ram instead of 4gb.

It was yesterday when i found out that my laptop is missing 4gb of ram out of 8gb (4gbx2). Both of them working fine in the first slot. We then tried the original ram that laptop came with in the slot for we were trying to put the new ram in, and the original ram would not fit either.

Still it doesn't detect the 8gb stick. The b1 memory slot does not work. My laptop has 2 ram slots, slot1 and slot2.

But, usually, it works after the second time. It seems as though my bank 1 memory slot is not recognizing any ram i put in it. I attempted putting the working ram into the other slot but did not get success.

Once i boot it up, the computer won't boot. Remove your old ram and work with your new ram for slot 1 and slot 2 (buy the same new ram) and check whether the system is work or not. Today i bought another 4gb module with same specifications and after inserting to slot1, it did not get detected. I have lenovo z560 4gb ram two slot i means 2 gb + 2 gb. Sorry for the inconvenience caused, i understand that the ram installed in the ram slot 2 is not recognized. Thankfully, when i plug the ram into slot2, the laptop works perfectly fine.

If you are facing a lot of resistance, stop. The second ram stick was loose because the part where the pins are weren't pushed in all the way in the slot. I think that it's either.

The new ram is 2400 mhz ddr4 8gb just like the ram that laptop came with. One of each type ram in first two slots = fine any time any ram stick is in the 3rd or 4th slot (even if i'm not using the first 2 slots) = can't boot let me know if i'm just being stubborn, but i figure if the two different types of ram can coexist peacefully in the first two slots, that it isn't a ram compatibility issue. The other slot has been free.

Ram should not be difficult to snap into the socket.
